Who is it for: The course is designed for beginners – those who have never danced, those who danced in the past and stopped, and those with minimal dance background.

Information about the course:

African dance is a traditional dance in which the rhythm of the drums and the body pulsate together. We will learn the language from the basics and connect to the rhythm and movements. We will combine the study of African dance with the study of techniques and knowledge from the world of contemporary dance, and we will give space to the groove within us by studying choreographies (sequences of movements) of rhythm and movement from the continent. No previous experience is necessary!
The course is led by Shahar Alush, a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher who connects the tribal and contemporary worlds through a personal and unique movement language.
She has stayed and danced in a variety of tribes around the world, learning from masters in Israel and abroad.
