Come and meet us: A free introductory class will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 1745

Course dates: Thursdays 17:45-19:45 | 6.11.25-14.5.26 | 27 sessions

Teacher: Noga Goldstein

Who is it for: The course is suitable for those with a background in dance (jazz styles, modern or contemporary dance, classical ballet), and graduates of various courses at Hakvutza. (beginners/advanced) who want to continue diving into in-depth technical work while becoming familiar with the modern jazz style.
Information about the course:
Each lesson will begin with a warm-up consisting of a sequence of exercises with a level of difficulty that gradually builds throughout. Through the exercises, which are characterized by movement flow and musical accents, a strong technical base is developed that relies on the foundations of classical ballet and modern dance technique, which, when combined, allow students to expand their range of movement abilities and their ability to express themselves. From lesson to lesson, we will delve deeper and deeper into understanding the exercise sequences, until we achieve full control of all the components and concepts to allow for more freedom of movement.
Each lesson will also include learning short sequences from the corner in which we will work on movement in space as well as more complex technical elements such as jumps and various rotations from the world of modern jazz. We will also learn elements of floor work that allow for movement integration, and we will also work on flexibility and muscle strengthening to expand the range of movement. In each class, time will be dedicated to learning a combination (a relatively long movement sequence), which is the opportunity to combine everything we have learned into one flowing and dynamic dance that is connected to the music and to each person’s emotions and self-expression.
