Information about the workshop:
Have you always dreamed of dancing to the sounds of great musicals, but didn’t know where to start? This is your chance.
The workshop is designed especially for those who are taking their first steps in the field (or want to go back to basics). It offers full exposure to the world of professional musicals, but with a gradual build-up, personal step-by-step accompaniment and a breakdown of the movements and combinations in a way that allows each and every one to understand, practice and succeed.
What will we go through in the workshop?
Foundation and technique: Introduction to the basics of the unique jazz-musical technique and work on correct posture.
Customized repertoire: Studying movement combinations inspired by leading musicals – in a structured and accessible rhythm that suits everyone.
Performance and theatricality: Emphasis on presentation, expression and confidence in movement on stage.
Liberation and enjoyment: An open and generous space that allows you to simply dance, let loose and enjoy the journey.
The workshop will be taught by Liron Cohen – a dancer and dance teacher, rehearsal director and creator, who has taken part as a dancer in many musicals such as: Joseph and the Striped Pajamas, Evita, Funny Girl, Chorus Line, Music Madness, and more. She is currently dancing in the musicals Casablanca and The Suburban Story.
