Contact and Improvisation Jam
Sessions
The first Saturday evening of
every month
between 17:00 and
21:00.
Contact and
improvisation jam sessions supply the right place
and atmosphere for anyone who wishes to dance, get
acquainted, train and experience this kind of
movement.
The sessions take place
in the large studio of “The Group in Jaffa” and are
about four hours long. People may join at any time,
warm up with everyone (or alone), get into the mood
and to jump into the dance and the experience, the
sound of music or the sound of silence.
The jam session is
intended for everyone, for those who are experienced
and who come to dance and practice, or for those who
are new and are interested in having this
experience.
The first hour includes
a warm up with a teacher from the school, the rest
of the jam is free with no direction.
There will be
refreshments in the lobby, hot and cold drinks.
The
Group in Jaffa’s jam session has built its
reputation. Numerous people arrive at every session
from contact communities in Israel.
