Day Programs

The Full Dance Program

The program is intended for those who want dance and movement to be their primary occupation for the next year or two. The program’s goal is to allow for a continuous, intensive process of dance study and body work through instruction from the very best teachers and within the framework of a regular group which will develop, enrich and create opportunities. The study program focuses on fields in contemporary dance, improvisation, contact- improvisation, yoga, composition (creation and methods of creation), with further enrichment courses in anatomy, movement and various fields of performance arts.

The studies in the school allow the students to perfect their abilities, to achieve a deepening awareness of their bodies and provides them with an initial acquaintance with sources of inspiration and tools for personal dance creation. Each student brings with him or herself a variety and wealth of experience from their own personal background which is implemented as a tool for mutual enrichment. By working as a group in various techniques such as improvisation and contact, a common language of movement is consolidated within the group. The creative search strives to achieve a virtuosity of movement whose source is from the very place within the students where they are most sincere towards themselves and towards their bodies- the willingness to “talk” through the language of the body with simplicity and courage in order to discover who I am as a dancer.

The school’s staff encourages their students to focus on the process (and not on reaching a specific goal) as well as to put aside any prejudices or clichés concerning the terms “dancer” or “dance” and to allow for a new kind of learning process.

The studies are four or three days a week between the hours 8:30- 15:30.

The school year is from October- June

With the completion of their studies, the students will receive a diploma from the school. The students of the school are entitled to a student card on behalf of the Student Union.
